About Emilia Pablo...
About Emilia Pablo, host of Desde Nevada:
​
Emilia Pablo was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and raised in Oxnard, California. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. She became the first in the family to attend college. In 2006, she received a master’s degree in journalism from U.C. Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. Her TV class produced Emmy award winning newscasts. Emilia is trilingual.
Emilia was a fellow for Dateline NBC. She was then hired as an associate producer and contributor for PBS’ Frontline/World, where she collaborated on documentaries produced worldwide. In 2006, Emilia joined Univision TV in Nevada.
In 2010 she was appointed speechwriter and press aide to President Barack Obama's Administration.
